They raised Pangaea from the endless sea so they would have land to walk on. They made animals to play with, plants to pluck, monsters to slay in sporting hunts.

They made elementals like Arjasoot, a spirit born from smoke and ember, who quests for a sword that can kill the fallen god plaguing their home.

They made humans like Varayana, a questioner of the gods, who wanders the wastelands in search of a cure for the divine curses seared into her flesh.

SPRITE AND BRAND is a Sword & Sorcery fantasy novel I've been working on for a while.

My intent  was to write a story set in the dawn of a fantasy world. In many fantasy sagas, the heroes explore ancient ruins: this is a tale about the people who made those ruins.

You'll like this book if you're into:

• Bronze Age Aesthetics: swords and spears of rough iron and bronze, wielded by chariot-riding warriors. City-states with painted temples and scribes with clay tablets.
• Flora and Fauna of the Permian Age: ferns, conifers, and gingko trees. Sabre-toothed gorgonopsids and sail-backed dimetrodons (that pull chariots).
